Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department has launched a comprehensive plan to strengthen the quality of school education by acting on the findings of the PARAKH National Survey 2024. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state will formulate district-specific strategies to improve student learning outcomes based on evidence from the national assessment.
To initiate the process, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will organise two state-level divisional workshops on July 28 and 29 at the Ganga Auditorium in Nishatganj, Lucknow. The workshops will examine the key findings of the PARAKH 2024 report, identify learning gaps, and prepare targeted interventions to make classroom teaching more effective and aligned with national educational standards.
Representatives from the Meerut and Saharanpur divisions will participate on July 28, while officials from Azamgarh, Jhansi and Agra divisions will attend on July 29. Deputy Directors of Education, DIET Principals, District Inspectors of Schools and District Basic Education Officers have been instructed to ensure their participation in the full-day sessions.
The workshops will focus on subject-wise and grade-wise analysis of student performance, helping education authorities develop district-specific academic improvement plans based on local learning needs. The initiative is expected to strengthen classroom practices through data-driven planning and targeted educational interventions.
Dr Pawan Sachan, Joint Director (SSA), said the PARAKH 2024 report is more than an assessment document, describing it as a strong foundation for improving the quality of school education. He said the workshops would translate the survey findings into practical district-level strategies aimed at enhancing learning outcomes for every child and making the education system more result-oriented.
The state government believes that implementing the recommendations emerging from the workshops will accelerate improvements in teaching quality and ensure better academic performance across government schools in Uttar Pradesh.
